SourceSafe.Get does not work

Mar 5, 2008 at 11:45 AM
Hi,

I have tried the below code. The SourceSafe.LabelLatest is working great but not SourceSafe.Get.
I need to get the labeled version of the code from the source safe.

<Target name="SourceControlLabel">
<SourceSafe.LabelLatest
Database = "v:/test"
Username = "test"
Password = ""
Label = "test_$(Version)"
Project ="$\testweb">
</SourceSafe.LabelLatest
</Target>
<Target name="SourceControlGet" DependsOnTargets="SourceControlLabel">
<SourceSafe.Get
Database = "v:/test"
Username = "test"
Password = ""
Label = "test_$(Version)"
Project ="$\testweb">
WorkingDirectory="D:\Projects\testweb">
</SourceSafe.Get>
</Target>

it hangs with the below message
Connecting to VSS.
Getting "lable_name".

I have not specified any password to the VSS databse as i have read in some place password support is not there.
I have tried both the 2.0 and the latest one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

What version of SourceSafe are you using. It looks like it's hanging on the get, rather than label. Does the label get created?

Hi Navanid

Please try the code checked in with changeset 17744 (http://www.codeplex.com/sdctasks/SourceControl/DownloadSourceCode.aspx?changeSetId=17744).
